Artist InformationThank you for your interest in Truckee River Gallery. Truckee River Gallery is a Fine Art gallery that is in the heart of Reno’s Riverwalk/Art district. The gallery sits right on the Truckee River and the River Walk foot path; we are close to Wingfield Park, the Downtown, the new Skating rink, and right next door to the Century Riverside 12 Theater. This is a very high traffic area and is growing and gaining appeal. Several casinos just blocks away are being converted to condos; new retail space is going in all around us and the Riverwalk Merchants Associations, which we are a member of, is very active. We are capitalizing on this location by building a great fine art gallery showing the art of the region’s best artists. To maximize use of the gallery, we are making the space very dynamic by scheduling short (2 to 4 week) solo or group themed shows. The goal is to have the gallery look different with a variety of art, layout and color scheme each time a customer comes by. The highly dynamic atmosphere will encourage frequent strollers along the river walk to return to the Truckee River Gallery to see what is showing. We have an innovative hanging system and movable display cases to allow us to configure the space differently with each show; we also use color to set off the space and make the change from show to show very obvious. To further take advantage of the location and the space we have an artist database that allows us to show and sell your work that is not currently hanging. Since a percentage of our customers are tourists, we are working on coupling the artist database with a data driven web site that will allow us to continue working with customers that might be out of the area. Using these technologies with other electronic and print advertising we will work with an ever expanding group of potential customers to sell your work. Being an artist myself, I am sensitive to the fact that you must benefit from the sale of your work; as a result we have terms that I think you will find favorable. We hope that if you choose to show in Truckee River Gallery you will actively participate in our shows and interact with our/your customers. We are working at setting up a relationship with our artists that will be mutually beneficial and create a successful place to sell art. Please download and review the information below.
